about Cursillo?
We
currently have strong Cursillo communities in the
West-Island (Ste-Geneviève
United Church, Roxboro
United Church), the South Shore (Richelieu
Valley United
Church), the Rawdon area (Mid-Laurentian
Pastoral Charge), and, in Ontario, Cornwall (Knox-St.Paul's United Church),
Kemptville (St.
John's United Church) and Chesterville (Trinity
United Church). We
also gather regularly for fellowship,
singing and sharing of our faith at
Ste-Geneviève
United Church.
Everybody is welcome. If you
play an
instrument, bring it along. For the schedule of these gatherings, also
called ultreyas, and directions see below:
Cursillo Road Shows
A few times
per year a group of cursillistas goes on the
road and visits a church in either eastern Ontario or the
greater
Montreal area. After consultation with the minister of that church,
we take part in the Sunday worship service with special music
and
a prayers for witness talk. On April
13, 2008 we visited Trinity
United Church, Chesterville, ON with
Rev. Wendy Wright-MacKenzie. On October
5, 2008 we visited Richelieu
Valley United Church, Beloeil, QC with
Rev. Pix Butt.
On March 10, 2009 we led the worship part of the
March meeting of Montreal Presbytery.
On June 14, 2009 we visited Mid-Laurentian
Pastoral Charge, Rawdon, QC
with Pastor Deborah Poirier. On August 30, 2009 we visited
Lacolle-Clarenceville & Hemmingford pastoral charge with Rev.
Sally
Meyer. On March 14, 2010 we visited Knox-St. Paul's United Church in
Cornwall, ON with Rev. Donald Wachenschwanz. Union United Church, Montreal, with Rev. Emmanuel K. Ofori, was the site of our visit on October 24, 2010.
Our next road show will be in Ontario. More details will be posted as soon as arrangments have been made.
